Pixar has made its fair share of hits over the years. It all started with Toy Story in 1995, and since then we’ve gotten A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, UP, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, Monsters University, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, and finally, Cars 3. Of course, that’s not including the other announced titles that are in the works like Coco, The Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 4, but those are lists for another day. Pixar is looking to revamp the Cars franchise, and to do that they want the fans to know a little bit about what’s going on in the new film. They are bringing back Lightning McQueen as the main focus of the film, along with old friends like Mater. They are also adding new cars into the mix with Jackson Storm and Cruz Ramirez. Although the new, first-time director Brian Fee is at the helm, the creators are still looking to keep the movie close to the original Cars film. It may be a bit darker and emotional, but the music score by Randy Newman and the familiar sounds of the original voice actors will bring back a strong sense of nostalgia, which is what the original Cars was really all about. Disney and Pixar have always made great movies together, and there is little doubt that Cars 3 will be any sort of exception to that.
