WandaVision is here and two episodes in and we already have so many questions with only a hint at what the answers are. How is it that Wanda and Vision are caught in a classic sitcom? How come the sitcom keeps evolving? Isn’t Vision dead? Who is Agnes? Who are those people in the credits? What is up with that dude in the beekeeper suit? Who is behind all of these shenanigans? Who is controlling this Nightmare? Well, it might be Nightmare himself, the Fear Lord from the Dream Dimension trying to tap into Wanda’s reality warping abilities to get a foothold in our world. The nefarious entity from another reality has always had a foothold in our world thanks to our dreams and our tendency to focus on our deepest fears in our sleep forming nightmares. That fear has fed the otherworldly jerk, but naturally that’s never been enough. His ambitions have brought him in conflict with Doctor Strange in the Sorcerer Supreme’s first appearance in the pages of Marvel Comics and is set to be the main menace in the second outing for the Master of the Mystical Arts in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. We know that WandaVision lead directly to that movie, and it might just be because the big bad is also the big bad behind Wanda’s worries in Westview. There are clues to the lord of Nightmare putting his thumb on the scale of Wanda’s warped vision that indicate that his sinister hand is involved. Take a look.
