Black Panther 2: Who SHOULD Be The Next Black Panther?

As Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to draw closer to an end, only a couple of stops remain before we enter into Phase 5. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is set for Disney+ in August and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is headed to cinemas in November, the trailer for the latter leaving attendees of San Diego Comic-Con 2022 in emotional prolepsis upon its premiere. With the first Black Panther film being regarded as a triumph in every sense of the word, naturally, the second installment of the franchise would surely follow suit. However, since the shocking and untimely passing of T'Challa actor Chadwick Boseman, and in what seems more than fitting as traditionally the Black Panther mantle is meant to be handed-off, Kevin Feige has confirmed he has no interest in recasting the now iconic character and King of Wakanda. Feige, as well as the trailer for the Black Panther sequel, did reveal that someone else will step-up as the new Black Panther in hopes of thwarting the imminent threat to Wakanda posed by Namor the Sub-Mariner.

Although all MCU fans can agree with the notion: Chadwick forever, there is semblance of excitement surrounding the important questions about the film and the franchise moving forward. Who will dawn the claws and eventually join the new line up of the Avengers? Will it be a family member of T'Challas or fellow Wakandan? Perhaps a foe turned friend? Who can challenge for the mantle and will they also become king? If we've learned anything from reading comic books and watching Phases 3 and 4, there are a plethora of characters inhabiting the vibranium-rich paradise, that is Wakanda, who pose suitable as candidates for the mantle.
