Matt's Off Road Recovery

So we got a call for a Chevy Silverado that was stuck on the top of Boulder Mountain. The owner had slid off the road back in the fall of 2019 The truck came to rest in a very precarious position.

We got a call for a Mercedes Benz GLC 300, that was stuck in the sand on Kolob Mountain. He was looking for a good campsite and got caught in a sand trap. It did wind up being a great campsite!

We got a call for a KTM 350 dirtbike that wouldn’t run. The customer had dropped it in the river on the Toquerville Falls Trail. We had to get the banana and the trailer to it!

So we got a call for a RZR that fell off a 200 foot cliff and was destroyed. We put the team together and was able to recover it with lots of winch extensions and some crazy shenanigans.

We got a call for a Honda Odyssey stuck in the sand by the Washington dam. Just looking for a place to cool off! Next we got a call for a Ford Expedition on a steep side hill!

We got a call for a Ram 3500 Mega Cab Cummins, that was stuck at the end of Mills lane. This is the road that becomes a sand trap at the end!

So we got a call for an Artic Cat Wildcat stuck in a canyon, east of Mount Carmel junction. The steering had locked up, and it wouldn't steer. We called Paul, he is close and knows the area.

We got a call for a brand new Honda Talon that crashed at the dunes! We took Tims Jeep to try and get some new camera angles of what it takes to get the trailer in and out of the dunes.

So we got a call for a Ford F150 stuck at the beach at Sand Hollow state park! It was buried pretty good, but a good pull with a couple of Yankum ropes and it popped right out!

We got a call for a Toyota 4 Runner, that was stuck down at the Virgin River, just below the diversion dam.

We got a call for a Ford Explorer, that had 2 flats. They were exploring Toquerville Falls, and the rough road took a toll on their tires! We took Blue Steel and the trailer to retrieve it.

We got a call for a Toyota Sienna minivan (white lightning) stuck in the sand. They were on their way to go camping at Zion Luxury Camping. They had driven all night and were so close to making it!

We got a call for a bus that had been converted into a motorhome. They were stuck in the sand at Lone Rock beach, Lake Powell. Due to the size we decided to take the 12 ton wrecker.

We got a call for a Ford F250 Powerstroke Super Duty that got stuck in the mud. They had an irrigation leak that made a soft mud hole, that they didn't know about!

We got a call for a Chevy Silverado stuck on the beach at Sand Hollow. I decided to put Ed in the truck, due to a language barrier. After the tow I realized this was Ed's first recovery!

We got a call for a Lincoln Navigator that got trapped in the sand on Mills Road.

We got a call for a Nissan Cube that was stuck in the sand at sand hollow. This sand is a little deceiving, it looks ok, then you are stuck! The more you try the more stuck you get.

We got a call for Jeep Wrangler that had a burned out clutch. They were most of the way up Toquerville Falls Road.

We got a call for a Honda CRV, that was crossed up in a rut at the shooting range. It was brand new and they didn't want to damage it.

We got a call from a couple fans that were stuck in a sinkhole! They were clear up in Salina Canyon, which is about 3 hours away from us.

We got a call for an Artic Cat Wildcat 1000 X, that was in a precarious situation!

We got a call for a Can Am side by side. They were out having fun and the belt broke! It’s fairly new and he didn’t have a spare with him. Matt and the banana towed him out quite easily!

We got a call for a Jeep Renegade that had been up to Toquerville Falls, and had gotten a flat tire. Since this particular vehicle doesn’t come equipped with a spare tire, it would need a tow out.

We got a call for a Polaris RZR that overshot a dune and wrecked. It was pretty messed up as you can see!

So we got a call from Paul and Michelle with Fab Rats, to go "test" their newly built Toyota Tacoma with a straight axle swap, and to do a little hiking.

We got a call for a Dodge Durango that pulled a trailer down a one-way trail with no real turnaround spot. In the process of trying to get turned around the transmission burned up in the Durango!

We got a call for a 4 wheeler that was trapped at the bottom of the sand chute. He went for a Sunday ride and went down to the virgin river, a little further than he was supposed to!

We got a call for a Mercury Mountaineer that had slid off the road at Kolob reservoir. The problem? The banana was still 3 wheel drive! Can Matt get it fixed in time?

Well, we finally reached a point where working between our homes and the Winder office was no longer adequate for taking care of the needs of the YouTube channel. Time to create a centralized space.
