Laura Branigan - I Found Someone - Solid Gold (1986)

As host of Solid Gold, the singer Dionne Warwick presents Laura Branigan who performs, with her distinctive emotional style "I Found Someone", a beautiful and very moving pop ballad written and composed by singer-songwriter Michael Bolton (as was also "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You") and keyboardist Mark Mangold for Laura who recorded it for her fourth studio album "Hold Me" released in July 1985. Laura performed live "I Found Someone" on her concerts during her "Hold Me Tour" and also on several TV shows, among them 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson' on it's New Year's Eve 1986 episode (check the special video playlist of her performances of this song on the link below this description**).
In February 1986 "I Found Someone" was released in U.S. as a single with the song "When" - a song written and composed by Laura -. The single peaked at No. 25 on Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and at No. 90 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Although, in my opinion, Branigan's rendition is much better, sadly wasn't the big hit that was for singer Cher with her version released in 1987 promoted with a music video. Also Michael Bolton has recorded his own version of "I Found Someone" released on his Greatest Hits album in 1995.
