You never know who may drop by The Recording Academy headquarters in Santa Monica, CA! On July 13, GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter/producer/performer Janelle Mon√°e paid us a visit. Nominated in 2008 for the GRAMMY Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance, Janelle Mon√°e has sometimes been called a "21st Century musical phenomenon." Earning widespread raves for her inventive style, her debut album The ArchAndroid came out in May and follows two highly acclaimed EPs.
