Meet NZCA LINES, the London-based artist born Michael Lovett. We've had our eye on him since he released his eponymous debut back in 2012, which was the perfect combination of sexy analog synths, slick as silk falsettos, R&B beats, and lyrics that transported the listener to another world—scratch that—another galaxy. "New Atmosphere" was written after a long night out, as Lovett watched the day dawn over the covered reservoir behind his house. This then lead to "the idea of two people watching the sun rise over a newly terraformed planet."

Lovett conceived, produced, and directed the accompanying video which takes the lyrics for "New Atmosphere" and realizes them perfectly. It's a breathtaking vision of uncharted territory—the colonization of an uninhabitable planet—wild and dangerous. But this isn't just a cold, interstellar sci-fi fantasy, there's two beating hearts at this story's core.

"New Atmosphere" will be released on 7-inch on 12/8 via Moshi Moshi Records.
