Howlin' Pelle Almqvist might be the coolest and most commanding frontman on the planet. Joined by The Hives Guitarist Nicholaus Arson, Pele explains how his band works the crowd so hard and together they list Eddy Murphy, James Brown, Iggy Pop, and Angus Young as being influences for their poise on stage.

The Hives anticipated new album Lex Hives is out on June 5, 2012. In celebration, the band is taking over Noisey. Every day this week, Noisey will post exclusive video footage from The Hives performance at Webster Hall Studio on April 26. The buzzed-about underplay at the 300-capacity venue was widely acclaimed, with MTV praising their "Superhuman capacity for consistent excellency," and SPIN anointing Howlin' Pelle Almqvist as "one of the greatest frontmen in rock."
