SKA picked up a second victory in its playoff series against Dinamo Minsk after getting the better of a 10-goal battle in Petersburg. But in Moscow, Dynamo slipped to a 2-5 loss at home to Severstal and that series is now tied at 1-1.

East: Video reviews and an overtime winner. March 4 round-up
There was plenty of action in the East on day three of the playoffs, with Avangard edging Avtomobilist 4-3 in a game that hung on two disallowed goals. That gives the Hawks a 2-0 series lead, while Barys tied its series with Metallurg thanks to an overtime goal from Darren Dietz. The teams now go to Kazakhstan with one victory apiece.
