Unless your bike already has a centerstand, buying a set of stands for your motorcycle is invaluable. They come in handy for all kinds of maintenance items, or even for simply storing your bike for any length of time. The problem comes when deciding which ones to get. There are lots of cheap stands out there that cost a fraction of the price of these Woodcraft stands. Technically, they’ll get the job done. But cheap stands are usually cheap for a reason. Typically they’re poorly built and/or use cheap materials. Not to mention they’re made somewhere overseas. It only takes one time for your bike to fall for you to kick yourself for not getting the good stuff in the first place.
The “good stuff’ in this case are these front and rear stands from Woodcraft. Based in Massachusetts, Woodcraft is owned and operated by riders and racers, so they understand the wants and needs of their fellow motorcyclists. More importantly, these stands are built right here in the US of A. They’re not cheap (prices vary depending on the stand type), but you only need to use them once to understand the quality you’re paying for. “Buy once, cry once,” as the saying goes, and after that, you’ll feel pride in ownership knowing your bike is supported firmly and securely.
As just one example of the cleverness of these stands, these allow you to customize how high to raise the wheel, making wheel removal and installation just that little bit simpler. Other stands with fixed post heights might require you to lift the wheel quite a bit to put it into place. That can be quite the struggle when trying to lift the wheel, align the brake rotor with the caliper, and also slide the axle into place.
There are a few more cool features of these Woodcraft stands, but I don’t want to give them all away here. Instead, check out the video to learn more.
