The Infinity Stones - which are actually known as Infinity GEMS in Marvel's comic books - have been a key plot point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up to now. Subscribe to our channel: goo.gl/wMuSDD
In this year's Avengers: Infinity War movie, we'll see what happens when Thanos combines them in the Infinity Gauntlet.
Movie audiences have learned a lot about the six incredibly powerful items in the last few years - but they have a rich history full of information that you probably aren't aware of. That's what this video is all about.
Here are ten secrets about the Infinity Stones - and, of course, their comic book counterparts the Infinity Gems.
Those secrets are; that there's a seventh one called the Ego Gem, that there's an eighth one called the Rhythm Gem, that there's a ninth one called the Build Gem, that they form a circuit that means the wielder's mastery of one element powers the next stone in the circuit, that they are actually drawn to each other and will help the wielder of one stone to find the others, that they were originally called the "Soul Gems" before they got their current name, that they don't actually make their wielder invincible, that they've been wielded by some strange characters (not just the most powerful, cool and popular characters), that they actually started life as a living being who went by the name "Nemesis", and that they only work in their own universe (each Marvel universe has Infinity Gems that only work in the universe they originated in).
