BIGBIRD, who is the alter ego of Afrobeat icon “Seun Kuti” and Nigerian rap icon “Vector” have embarked on a new musical journey, releasing their lead single “The Matter”. This project is the first of its kind, with a fusion of Rap and Afrobeat sound. Both artists are bringing the core of rap and Afrobeat music together, with outstanding lyricism and word plays, with a blend of 808 drums, saxophone, and a few other classical instruments.

The Matter music production was inspired by Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti’s “I No Get Eyes For Back” off his famous Alagbon Close - EP, sampling the horns and piano, at the beginning of the original track.
