BMW has just revealed the new 5 Series. It shares many of its parts and design with the larger 7 Series luxury car. It's longer and wider than the current BMW 5 Series and slightly larger than the Mercedes E-Class, though only by the smallest of margins.
However, the 5 Series looks set to trump the tech found on the E-Class while making the ageing Audi A6 seem archaic. The very latest iDrive system with gesture controls, coupled with autonomous driving and even remote control parking using the digital key, help set it apart as a large saloon which majors not only on comfort and driving dynamics but also leads the segment in terms of innovation.
