The latest Hyundai i30 is a rival to other family hatchbacks like the Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf and Vauxhall Astra. It’s a stylish, competent and well equipped car that’s available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines. The i30 is not without its downfalls: the steering feels overly sensitive at times, while around town it can be bumpier than is ideal, but overall, it’s an impressive package. The i30 is fitted with an impressive amount of safety kit as standard and is also one of the better motorway cruisers you can buy for this sort of money.
