Day 2 Recap. Progress has been steady on our Marina Blue 1967 Chevy II that we are transforming into the image of a classic gasser. And best of all is seeing the 646 horsepower (with 657 lb-ft of torque) big-block in its rightful home. We also had a special guest pop in for a surprise appearance: Steve Magnante of Motor Trend’s Junkyard Gold. Steve is a huge fan of the gasser build style, and has written numerous stories on them, and even a book called “How To Build Altered Wheelbase Cars” that has proven indispensable to fans of ’60s door-slammer action.
