Off-road testing the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4x4. This is an SUV from Jeep, featuring a 3.2L V6 producing 271 HP, which I’ll be comparing to the Ford Edge, Kia Sorento, Nissan Murano, and Subaru Outback. Starting with the drawbacks, the Jeep offers mediocre fuel economy and had significantly less cargo space than the other models tested. That said, it had the second lowest MSRP of the vehicles tested, has 8.7 inches of ground clearance, offers great rear legroom, can tow up to 4500 lbs, and has an immense amount of off-road features and capabilities. Well deserved, this vehicle did win the category for SUVs.

This vehicle was tested as part of the 2015 Northwest Automotive Press Association’s Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year competition. The vehicle category and competing vehicles are below:
