Zion national park draws over 4 million visitors per year.
Many of these visitors take advantage of the free camping on BLM land adjacent to the park.
Camping near Zion, in these free campsites, is a great way to save money and enjoy more of the area, but when it rains, everything changes.
All the BLM campsites are on clay. So when it’s wet, 2 wheel drive vehicles will not cut it, and sometimes, even a four-wheel-drive vehicle gets in trouble.

We got called out for a Ford van that needed a little help getting back on solid ground, and then we were called out for a four-wheel-drive ram 1500 that had found a particularly soft spot at his campground.
We were able to get both of these vehicles back on sure footing without too much trouble.
