The new 2019 Ram 1500 adds a split-opening Multifunction tailgate for easier bed access. Why should a truck tailgate simply fold down? Ram has an advanced new solution in the form of its Multifunction tailgate, with a 60/40 split arrangement that can open, French doors-style, for easier access to the cargo bed. The GMC Sierra with the MultiPro Tailgate isn’t the only truck in town with a fancy rear-end trick.
