Lucid is the latest player in the EV Startup game and after driving their new Air (model) Dream (trim) Performance (motor / battery configuration) we can safely say this: they aren't messing around. Ex-Tesla Vehicle Engineer Peter Rawlinson has taken everything he learned from the original Model S and improved on it with Lucid. From ingenious packaging solutions, Mercedes-like comfort and convenience, and French-inspired styling, it's hard to igore the Lucid Air's charms. And then you step on the throttle, and unleash 1,111 HP, which, if you're counting, is the most powerful production sedan in history. Even in a heavy downpour, Zack and Matt manage to run the equivalent of a nine second quarter mile, demonstrate impressive grip and braking, and ride quality that would impress an S-Class owner.
