This is the new BMW M135!
It used to be known as the M135i, but BMW has dropped the I for this updated edition. The question is, have the other changes throughout the car improved it compared to the previous edition?
Well in terms of the design, there are a couple of changes. Up front, the grille now includes horizontal slates, while there’s also a redesigned front bumper. Along the side, there are unique alloy wheel designs, and there are gloss black side mirrors and skirts. Around the back, there’s a larger roof spoiler compared to the standard car, and it even comes with real quad-tailpipes!
On the inside, there are a handful of updates over the standard car, including the sports steering wheel, sports seats, and M-coloured LED lights. However, many of these updates are available with the M Sport trim on the regular car. The infotainment screen is pretty responsive, although many controls have to be managed through the touch-sensitive screen.
In terms of performance, the M135 comes with a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo that produces 300hp, 400Nm, and can hit 60mph in 4.9 seconds. It also comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The price starts from around £43,000, but is it worth it?! You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!
