We're breaking down an annoying myth: the solid rear axle that the Ford Mustang used until 2015 makes it dangerous to drive.
That's ridiculous, obviously. But it is true that the way a solid rear axle performs in a high-speed turn is less forgiving than the much more common and modern independent rear suspension. Once you understand why that's the case, though, it only takes a small adjustment as a driver to power over curbs on track and stay on the fastest line instead of spinning into a tire wall.
