2027 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO Review — First Ride

The 2027 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO is a machine that's bridging quite a few gaps. The folks at KTM are using its ADV platform to pull road duty and in doing so, have created an incredibly competitive machine in the process. The LC8 V-twin has grown to 1350cc and makes about 170 horsepower at 9,500 rpm with 107 of torque at 8,000 rpm, thanks to revised internals and updated Camshift variable valve timing.

The big news here is KTM’s Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). It drops the clutch lever out of the equation entirely but still lets you use the foot lever or handlebar paddles to shift. You can also let the bike handle shifts automatically, which changes how you approach slow trails and traffic.
Motorcycle

Chassis tweaks include a reworked frame for better feel, WP semi-active suspension with new damping hardware, and footpegs positioned 8 mm lower and 10 mm wider for longer comfort.

The cockpit now centers around an 8-inch portrait-style TFT touchscreen with updated ride modes and connectivity, and KTM’s Adaptive Cruise Control with radar that adds brake assist, collision warning, and distance warning.
