The Triumph Trident is back—and this time, it’s packing more punch.
For 2026, Triumph fills a long-standing gap in its lineup with the all-new Trident 800, slotting neatly between the fan-favorite Trident 660 and the sharper Street Triple models. Powered by a new 798cc inline-Triple, the Trident 800 promises more performance, modern electronics, and everyday usability—all for under $10,000.
We traveled to Cyprus to put the Trident 800 through its paces in wet city streets and dry mountain roads. With 113 horsepower, IMU-based rider aids, standard cruise control and quickshifter, and neutral ergonomics, it looks like the middleweight roadster many riders have been asking Triumph to build. But does it deliver where it matters most?
In this first ride review, we break down:
- Engine performance and that unmistakable Triumph triple soundtrack
- Comfort, ergonomics, and real-world rideability
- Suspension and braking feel on mountain roads
- What works, what doesn’t, and who this bike is really for
Is the Trident 800 the perfect step up from the 660—or does it leave room for improvement? Watch to find out.
👇 Let us know in the comments: Would you take the Trident 800 over an MT-09, Z900, or F900R?
