Street Racing Is Getting Cars Crushed

Street takeovers and street racing are ruining car culture, and if you want proof, look no further than Las Vegas police holding a press conference to crush a 2009 Infiniti G37S and a 2007 Nissan 350Z seized in illegal street racing cases. By destroying enthusiast cars, they're planning to send a message about street takeovers, stunt driving, reckless driving, and the growing crackdown on illegal street racing. But the actual message is that these types of activities are basically ruining car culture for everybody. In this episode of Fuel for Thought, I'll break down the new Las Vegas street racing law, why police departments are now crushing confiscated cars instead of auctioning them, and how similar actions in San Diego and Louisville show a broader trend, and why some parts of car culture seriously need to grow up.
