Avengers: Endgame changed a lot of things for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For our original Avengers team of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye they all found themselves having a clear arc at the end of the Infinity Saga. Black Widow and Iron Man had redemption stories that ended with them making the big sacrifice at the end. Hawkeye lost, found, lost again and found himself again. Thor was put through the wringer having lost his family, his homeland, and his confidence, only to find a new purpose and to be the only original Avenger whose story will continue after Phase Three and into Phase Four, with Black Widow’s movie being part of her earlier life. But there might be a way to undo some of the tragedy that befell Earth’s Mightiest Heroes while they defeated Thanos, and it comes in the form of Bruce Banner’s failed time machine experiment. While he may not have pushed Scott Lang through time, by pushing time through Lang he may have accidentally created an Immortality Machine that could bring back some of our lost heroes or restored others. But that might have some unintended consequences of its own. If the good guys can use the machine to help themselves out, so can the bad guys. In fact, bad guys using good guys technology and tools has been a recurring theme in the MCU. Using the immortality machine might bring back old foes or alert new ones.
