Outward visibility is an issue with a lot of modern cars. Obese roof pillars and tiny windows obscure sightlines in the name of both safety and style. For the 2017 Cadillac XT5 the company has come up with a clever new feature that literally grants sight to the blind… blind spots, that is. Cadillac's advanced Rear Camera Mirror System places a TFT LCD behind the mirror, which takes a feed from the vehicle’s backup camera to give you a much wider field of view, a claimed 300 percent improvement! Look for luxury marks like Lexus, BMW and Mercedes to copy this idea.
