The 911R is what happens when the engineers get to play. Andreas Preuninger realized that, during the development of the PDK-only GT3, they had a wingless, manual prototype kicking around, and it was the most fun car they had. So they built it, with even more special lightweighting material. With only 991 units produced globally, it was very rare, and the ultimate flipper Porsche in 2016, which led to the GT3 Touring. But this 911R, right out of the museum, is still the most special GT car of them all.
