This is a video showing how to replace the cabin air filter on a 2004 Toyota 4Runner. It's not a glamourous or difficult job but it's something that should probably be done about every 30K or so. I used a special filter this time, one that helps eliminate odor as well as filter the air coming into the HVAC system. This job should save you quite a bit since it can run up to $100 or more at the shop and given that you don't even need tools to do it it can really save you some money.
