The current range of plug-in hybrids on the market is vast, but the Skoda Octavia iV Estate outshines them all by taking home our Plug-in Hybrid of the Year award.
One of the cheaper plug-in hybrids to live with in terms of running costs, the Octavia iV will officially return 282.5mpg. Not only that, but an electric-only range of 41 miles and CO2 emissions of just 31g/km drop the Octavia iV into the exceptionally low 6% benefit-in-kind bracket. Performance is brisk too, while the interior is well equipped and space is available by the bucketload.
After hearing our verdict, Skoda asked us to create this video explaining our decision.
