Harley Davidson, struggling with an aging customer base and a lack of street cred amongst European and Japanese motorcycle fans, has swung for the fences with its new Panamerica 1250. Diving head first into the ultra-competitive Adventure Touring class alongside heavy hitters like the BMW GS line and Ducati Multistrada V4, Harley has come out with an all-new, ultra-refined engine, an incredible adaptive suspension, and the most modern riding experience they have probably ever offered on a petrol-powered bike. It's not quite as feature loaded as the Multistrada, nor does it have the longstanding reputation of the GS, but after two weeks on the Panamerica, I can say that Harley hasn't just swung for the fences, they've connected.
