This video shows you how to install a new brake rotor backing plate on your 2011-2018 Ram 1500. The brake rotor backing plate protects the brake rotors and supports parking brake shoes. A backing plate that has deteriorated could cause problems with brakes.

This repair was done on a 2016 Ram 1500 SLT 3.6L Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
