My Neighbors Dodge 2500 Hemi 6.4L Update #automobile

My neighbor has a Dodge Ram 2500 with a 6.4L Hemi with some issues. He initially reached out about helping with the exhaust leak, but recently the truck started going into limp in mode and he couldn’t drive it.

The truck also has issues with no heat from the vents.

I verified that the MAP readings indicated the circuit wasn’t working correctly, but didn’t check the circuit. He went ahead and replaced the MAP sensor and cleared the codes.

He had previously replaced the thermostat with an aftermarket unit. My intention was to make sure there was no air in the cooling system and recheck the heater operation. If it still wasn’t working I was going to use a thermal camera to see if there was flow through the heater core. If it doesn’t have any, I’m going to try and flush it and recheck.

After all that, the plan is to tackle the exhaust leak.
