The middleweight sport-touring class is enjoying a much-needed resurgence right now, as several offerings equipped with traditional 17-inch wheels are making waves. The 2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 800 is the latest all-arounder machine ready and willing to tackle just about any road riding it faces. Sport riding, touring, commuting, and much more are certainly part of the middleweight Tiger Sport's diet.

Priced at $12,495, the Tiger Sport 800 has nearly everything you'd need from a sport-touring machine. The key-and-matched luggage side cases will set you back $640; the top case is $360. Yet, we still have many qualities that help slot this bike nicely into the ST segment, such as a neutral riding position, wind protection via an adjustable windscreen, and, as mentioned before, integrated luggage options.

The Tiger Sport 800 builds on the Tiger Sport 660, but this is no mere copy-and-paste job by the folks at Triumph. The all-new 798cc Triple-cylinder engine is evidence of that, producing a claimed 113 horsepower and 62 ft-lbs. of torque. Power comes on strong and produces far more grunt than the street-focused line of Triple-cylinder engines from which this mill is derived. Sure, it sacrifices some top-end power compared to the Street Triple 765 R and RS, but that isn't much of a loss in a road setting.

A chassis with semi-adjustable suspension holds its own on the road and, due to its agility, begins answering the proverbial "one-bike garage" question lest we forget about its ample power and comfort, too.

Motorcycle.com sent Senior Editor Nic de Sena to Vilamoura, Portugal, where he had a first ride aboard the virtually all-new 2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 800.
