As we intimated in our hands-on from MWC, the Kyocera Torque's 4-inch WVGA display and 4GB of on-board storage won't necessarily impress you, nor will its 5MP camera or its older build of Android ICS. But its IP67 and MIL-STD 810G durability ratings should be enough to get you to sit up and take notice, especially if you end up drop-kicking the Torque into a freezing pond whose bottom is lined with razor blades. Like ya do, from time to time.
We don't go that far in this unboxing, but who knows what'll happen in our comparison and review videos going forward? For now, feast your eyes on the screen above as we take you on a quick tour of the Torque's box contents, then guide you around the beefy device's exterior, finishing up with a first power-on. You'll get up-close and personal with protective plugs, gasket screws, and what might be the biggest Nextel Direct Connect button since 2005 - and you'll see some wet-and-wild action from MWC 2013 mixed in, as well. So watch the unboxing, and stay tuned for more on the Kyocera Torque.
