Is Too Thin & Light a Good Thing?

Samsung seems to have hit a home run with their Galaxy S line of devices. Each of the major US carriers has received their own version of a Galaxy S phone. Verizon Wireless and Samsung each wanted to take things a step further by creating another Galaxy S device, but with a unique design. Enter the Samsung Continuum, a phone that possesses a main 3.4" sAMOLED touchscreen, but also a secondary 1.8" touchscreen ticker to display notification, weather, RSS feeds, etc. The brain of the operation is a 1GHz Hummingbird processor meshed with 336MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The Hummingbird processor certainly doesn't disappoint, but the lower (and odd) amount of RAM may hold the Continuum back. Time and use will be the greatest test. Pair these specs with a 1500mAh battery that Samsung estimates to provide seven hours of talk time and it sounds like we have a solid contender on our hands.
