A while back I told you about a developer who had come up with a way to potentially double your battery life by using only the red sub-pixel elements in your display. Since that time the CyanogenMod team has included "Render effects" in their latest ROMS (6.0.0 RC2).
If you wondered what it looks like, or want to try it yourself, this video attempts to do that. I say "attempts" because even in HD, the display doesn't look anywhere hear as sharp or clean as it does in real life.
This could help not only extend battery life, preserve night-vision, and has a huge potential to help those with color-blindness be able to better experience the display on their phones.
If you are colorblind, I'd love to know how this works for you! Please, comment below!
