Microfinance is regarded by the World Bank as essential in lifting living standards in India, particularly in rural areas, where traditional banking services are in short supply. Madura Microfinance provides small business loans to women across India, from Karnatak in the south to Bihar in the north, so they can use their entrepreneurial skills to start their own businesses.
By moving to the cloud, Madura is able to meet its clients 'at the point of need' via mobile banking. Data and analytics services have also helped the business expand its footprint across India rapidly and successfully, growing over the last three years by 50%, year on year.
