JPMorgan Chase & Co. Use AWS DeepRacer Events to Drive Global Cloud Adoption | Amazon Web Services

JPMC started its cloud journey 4 years ago, building the integrations required to deploy cloud native applications into the cloud in a resilient and secure manner. Operating in the cloud requires a change in culture and a fundamental re-education towards a new normal. Their staff are learning a new operating model, new tools and new processes.

JPMorgan Chase’s AWS DeepRacer Learning program started with the Chicago Innovation Team in 2019. The AWS DeepRacer learning program now runs in 20 cities and 3,500 people have participated over the past 2 years, gaining knowledge of the AWS console, Python, Sagemaker, Jupyter Notebooks and Reinforcement Learning. Their biggest success is watching people change roles due to their participation, introducing the JPMC DeepRacer Driving License this year so their hiring managers can see that applicants have attained a recognized standard of ML proficiency. Their commitment to developing skills internally paid off big in 2021, with JPMC employees finishing in 1st, 2nd, and 7th in the AWS DeepRacer League Global Championships.
