Reimagining the Smart Home user experience with TELUS | Amazon Web Services

Published on 15 Sep 2023, 22:07
TELUS brings to their end customers. Using abstraction layers based on a cloud native IoT platform, TELUS is able to solve challenges and remove barriers that consumers face while operating their smart home. Through ubiquitous control the platform can seamlessly integrate a broad range of devices from numerous manufacturers, enabling them to work together. The end user can control them through different voice assistant platforms or a single pane of glass application and dashboard. Zero touch onboarding allows consumers to include new devices without the need for separate applications, bridges or processes. Based on the abstraction capabilities, the platform supports analytics and AI/ML based functionality that allows users to create daily routines, and enables the smart home to offer self-learning combinations of smart functionality. It ensures device manufacturers can do predictive maintenance to reduce call center cost and truck rolls or on-site support. TELUS is offering this platform to other CSPs in a B2B2x approach and smart home is just one of the possible applications, extending to other areas such as health, care, etc.
