Medical Network Systems Inc (MNES) in Hiroshima started running a remote diagnosis service in 2000. Rather than waiting for patients to come to hospitals, they bring the radiology equipment to them. This tele-radiology service has helped combat the challenge of getting scanning technology to people in remote areas and technology like Google Cloud Platform helps patients in areas without specialists.
