The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51 features a 6.2L LT1 V8 engine with VVT, direct injection, and cylinder deactivation, producing 460 HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. The question is, is the convertible automatic an acceptable trim configuration?

Convertibles tend to add weight to increase the rigidity of the chassis lost by removing the roof. Automatics can dampen the experience and also add weight. How does the Corvette tackle these issues, and does it maintain the Corvette's appeal while doing so?
