2016 Kia Sorento - Off Road And Track Review

The 2016 Kia Sorento SXL AWD. This is an SUV from Kia, featuring a 2.0L Turbo I4 producing 240 HP, which I’ll be comparing to the Ford Edge, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Murano, and Subaru Outback. Starting with the drawbacks, the Kia offers mediocre fuel economy, has slightly less ground clearance than the Cherokee and Outback, and and has a fairly high tested MSRP at just over $45k. That said, it offers excellent cargo space, decent acceleration, the most front legroom of the group, and depending on the trim selected can tow up to 5,000 lbs.

This vehicle was tested as part of the 2015 Northwest Automotive Press Association’s Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year competition. The vehicle category and competing vehicles are below:
