What is a battery? How does a battery work? How do lead acid batteries work? A battery is simply a cathode (positive plate) separated from an anode (negative plate) by an electrolyte solution. When the cathode and anode (positive and negative terminals) are connected by a conductive material, electrons flow from the anode to the cathode. The video explains the chemical reactions that occur. This video explains lead acid batteries in greater detail.
Next video will be on lithium ion batteries.
