What is VTEC? How does VTEC work? VTEC, or variable valve timing and lift electronic control is used to increase airflow within an engine cylinder at high rpm. Many companies have versions of their own, such as Toyota's VVT and Mitsubishi's MIVEC.
NOTE: The center rocker arms remains in contact with the center cam lobe, unlike what I mention in the video. The center rocker arm is independent of the other two arms, which once locked, all operate on the center cam lobe.
