Audi put all-wheel drive on the map. In 1980 they developed an AWD rally car, and stood on so many podiums they got altitude sickness. In Europe, the homolgated version of the car was the Ur Quattro. It had a 300HP 5-cylinder.

We didn't get that car here. We got a tamer version of the tamer version: the Audi Ur (original) Quattro. For the rest of the world, this car had about 200HP. Ours had 160. But remember, this was the 80s. A '82 Mustang V8 made 157HP, so the Audi wasn't the slow.

What it was was rare, advanced, and powered by a turbo I-5. And it's rather special.
