This is the all-new Citroen E-C3!
It’s an all-electric version of the Citroen C3, and it’s the second cheapest electric car you can buy in 2024, with a starting price of just £21,900! The question is, at such a low price, is the quality so poor that it’s not worth considering? Or does it offer incredible value for money?
Well for starters, let’s check out the design. At the front end, the E-C3 looks pretty good, with smart LED headlights coupled with some real air breathers at the sides. The creases on the bonnet also help it stand out. The side profile is relatively standard, although the two-tone paint and roof bars help give it a bit more purpose, as does the black trim around the wheel arches. It’s a more distinctive look at the rear, with LED tail lights that are just as smart as the headlights from the front. All-in, it certainly doesn’t look like a car that costs less than £22,000!
The interior is a bit of a quirky affair, but that’s a good thing! There’s a super-thin digital drivers display that offers all the information you would need, and there’s a small infotainment screen in the centre of the dash which is pretty simple, but it offers the basic functions you would expect it to have. The seats are generally comfy enough, and while there may be some cheaper materials throughout the cabin, it’s all pretty well laid out and offers quite a lot of storage.
There’s only one version of the E-C3 available, and it comes with a single electric motor and the ability to produce 113hp. It also has a claimed range of 199 miles. If you’re not looking for an EV, the petrol-powered C3 comes with a 1.2-litre engine that can produce 100hp, and the price of this starts at just £17,790!
So what do you think? If you’re looking for a cheap electric car, is the E-C3 the smart choice? Stick with Mat to get a closer look for yourself!
