OK, that was a joke, not really the new Mustang. I don't know what to think about this car, what do you think about this? Comment below.

Window Description:
This is an active, work in progress, retirement project, not a “no drive” show car. Time is 5800 man hours, over 11 years, with cost being about $48k for parts and supplies only. My only outside expense was machine shop services for the original 4.6L donor, which I replaced with a NEW 2017 5.0L 435HP Mustang engine.

Everything is built, ground up, by self, in a (650 sq. ft.) residential garage. Tools used: a small lath, drill press, welders and basic hand tools, to design and build frame, suspension, drive line, body, ac, and interior.

The original “donor” car was a 98 Lincoln MK8 4.6L 32V DOHC (picked for engine), a 1986 G50 6 speed transaxle from a 96 Porsche (inverted), a 06 Yaris windshield (inverted). The steering is mostly Mitsubishi, and the interior is mostly Home Depot.

I have never worked in any automotive service capacity (started as mechanical engineering major, then switched to computer science for 38 year career), as details in materials, applications, and some results will indicate. The biggest overall challenge was figuring out how to physically approach and accomplish construction with no lift/fit or hold/weld help.

The actuated parts are: head lights, windows, doors, rear deck (engine access), front air dam, side radiator air scoops, rear wing, and engine air intake on roof. Still to do: Headliner, carpet, pain redo.
