Welcome to the EricTheCarGuy channel! I'm an ASE certified master technician with over 20 years experience and going into my 9th year on YouTube.

Lately I've been in love with my 1979 Ford Fairmont. I'm sure the first question would be, "why?" and with good reason. The Fairmont is likely not the first car you think of when the words 'hot rod', or 'street machine' get tossed out.

Not many people are aware that the Fairmont is a fox body which shares the same chassis with a Mustang. That means all the parts you can get for a Mustang, will fit on the Fairmont. The idea is to make it a 'sleeper', a car that looks slow but goes fast.
