How to Find a Bad Wheel Bearing - EricTheCarGuy
Well as I said in the video I shot this some time ago but never posted it. I've been snowed in for a couple of days so I haven't been to the shop to make some new video so I decided to bring this one up from the vault. The idea is to give you some basic information on how to find a bad wheel bearing, replacing it once you find it is another story but diagnosing is the first step.
Now, another way to find out if you have a limited slip is to jack up both sides of the car and rotate one of the drive wheels. If the wheel on the opposite side moves in the same direction you probably have a limited slip differential. If the wheel spins in the opposite direction you probably have a regular differential that is not limited slip.
As I said in the video a bunch of times be careful doing this, use the parking brake and brace the rear wheels with something. I know you'll do the right thing.
