Tesla's Model S receives Motor Trend's Car of the Year Award. It is the first time in the award's 64-year history that this honor was bestowed upon an automobile not powered by an internal combustion engine. It is also the first time anyone can remember that the winner was chosen by unanimous decision. We are thrilled and humbled that the effort and sacrifice put forth by the Tesla team has been recognized by one of the most prestigious awards in the automotive industry.
